DOES GOD KNOW YOU?

By David Msebele.

Most people seek to be known in social circles, by the church leadership and by the public. We worry so much about public perception and maintaining our reputation but the question is; Does God Know You?
This is a hard question.

Some people know that there is God, just like the devil knows, and trembles. My question today is, Does God know you and if he knows you how well does he know you?

Are you the bad guy who is  selfish, arrogant, unrepentant, uncaring, the unholy one, sinful, iniquitous and you do not know God,

Are you like David, a man after God’s own heart.  Who when he prays, God inclines his ear to hear and answers your prayers, he comes into your situation and open heavens to come down and deal with your problem.

In 2 Timothy Chapter 2 verse 21 the bible says “If a man will purge himself from there, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the masters use, and prepared unto good work”.  Many people are dry vessels, unholy to the core and not ready for use by God.
In 1 Peter Chapter 1 verse 15 – 16 we are called upon to be holy. The scripture states “But he which hath calleth you is holy, so be yea holy in all manner of conversation, because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy”.
God has called us to be His children.  He has called us to servanthood, but there is a condition.  He must know us and we should know Him.  If we know God we stay holy.  Further, God our Master is Holy and when God knows us, incredible things happen in our lives.  God rewards holiness and frowns upon unholy conduct.  He punishes the wicked , and does not hear their prayers.
In Isaiah Chapter 59 verse 1-2 the bible states “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, neither is his ear too heavy that it can not hear, but your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he cannot hear.
The above scripture shows that God does not listen to sinful, iniquitous and unrepentant people.  He will neither save nor heal people who are entrenched in sinful and unholy behavior.
The bible says that God knows those who are His.  When He calls, his sheep hear his voice.  The Lord Jesus Christ stands out as one who knows God, and was known of God. When he prayed (he prayed daily to our Lord Jesus Christ and spent hours in prayer to God, his father),  he had confidence, he heard him for he regarded God as holy.  At the tomb of Lazarus, our Lord Jesus Christ looked up to heaven and thanked God for hearing him as always and commanded Lazarus to regain consciousness.
Let us not delude ourselves and think that we can be sinful and get away with it.  God is not mocked, he cannot be conned, as we do to fellow human beings. He is God
My question remains relevant and you can only answer it when you kneel down, and pray today. Ask God to know you. Depart from your evil and unholy ways so that God can save and heal you.  Stay rest assured that there can be no salvation and healing without repentance,
My prayer today is to be like David – a man after Gods own heart.  When God knows us we shall be blessed, called a blessing and be a blessing.  We shall be saved and healed.
Stay blessed, continue being a prayer addict and seek the face and presence of God in your life.
