Power must change hands

By Leslie Phiri

Life is a power game, it's not for the frail neither is it for the weak and feeble; It's the survival of the fittest. God has given us everything that pertains to life godliness and holiness and part of that package includes power.

Without power we are nothing, we are mere subjects confined to failure, sickness, death and satanic intrusion into our lives.

Christians must discover the power that God has entrusted us with. It is however unfortunate that most Christians do not realise the value and power that God has deposited into their lives.

This is the reason the Lord laments in Hosea 4 v 6, "My people perish because of lack of knowledge." Christians need to stand up and study the word of God so that they can fully walk in fullness of God's plan and purpose.

Apostle Paul states in Ephesians 6 verse 12 that: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

God will not send his children to partake in a battle where He does not give us the necessary ammunition to wage that war.Jesus Christ assures us in John 10 verse 10 that though the devil has come to kill, steal and destroy, He has come to give us life in abundance.

The devil hates the children of God, and he does so with a passion. He has targeted every believer. The devil wants to see us sick, in pain, cursed, in debt and wallowing in poverty. When we are in such a mess, the devil rejoices because he knows he is exercising power and dominion over us.

However its time for the tables to turn, its time the children of God stand up and take full control of the power that God has placed in our lives.

That Goliath must die, that Samuel must be born, Saul must be transformed to Paul, The Egyptians must cross the red sea, power must change hands!
Our God is often referred to as the Lord of Hosts, God omnipotent and Jehova of Armies. This is no mean talk our God will fight our battles for us and we are condemned to overcome and succeed. Surely if he is on our side, who can be against us?

David, a man after God's own heart, distinguished  himself well when he was faced by the giant Goliath. It was a power game and David had to up his game and overcome the devil in Goliath. Indeed they that are born of God, overcomes the world.

When God created man, the first thing that that he said to man is: "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." - Genesis 1 verse 28

Christians must take hold of that power and fully exercise it. They must move from being victims to victors. Its high time the Children of God pray earnestly and seek the face God so that they can be able to overcome evil by doing good.

Paul writes to the Church in Corinth saying: "For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." (1 Corinthians 4 verse 20). The kingdom of God is not about petty talk, its not for the weak and feeble, its for spiritual giants.

Cognisant of the fact that life is a power game, Jesus, ascending to heaven said to his disciples, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."  (Matthew 28 verse 18)

God would never sacrifice his only begotten Son for nothing! He knew there was power involved, and had to redeem us from the enclave of the feeble and translate us into an atmosphere of power and dominion.
Our is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can think or meditate upon.
Through prayer and fasting, Christians must be in a position to exercise power and dominion and posses the gates of the enemy. Christians must take over, cast demons, heal the sick, walk in explosive prosperity and experience the fullness of God!

God will not create Christians to live in poverty, in debt ,in crisis and in sickness. David says, I have been young and now I am old but I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor their children begging for bread.
We have been given power to rule, greater is He that is in us that he that is the world, power must change hands!

Amen
