Direct Prayer

By Leslie Phiri

Most of us have come across the saying'; "do not tell God how big your problems are, but tell your problems how big your God is".

That is a powerful statement that inspired me to pen this article.

I want to urge you today to stop focusing on your problems, praying to God telling him  how big your problems are. It is high time that the tables turn in your life, start speaking directly into situation and witness the great power of God in your working in you.

When You Pray; FORGIVE.

By Br David Msebele

When You Pray; FORGIVE.
Many of us are surprised when we do not receive answers to our prayers. We end up backsliding and disbelieving God and His great promises.

The subject of prayer is extensively dealt with in the bible and our Lord Jesus Christ also explained clearly and convincingly how and when we should pray.

One issue that comes out clearly from Jesus Christ’ teaching on prayer is that we should forgive when we pray.

It goes without emphasis that God will not forgive us our sins if we do not forgive others.

It is futile to pray to God while we harbor unforgiveness, if we are not forgiving, God has no obligation to answer our prayers because we are not right with him.

Unforgiveness is a hindrance to prayer.

So God will only work with forgiving people. If we embrace forgiveness in all we do we, God is ready to reciprocate that and forgive us our sins.

In any case, who are we not to forgive, when Christ sacrificed his life for our redemption?

Many Christians have had bad experiences, some have been wronged and disappointed by friends, relatives and close colleagues but no matter the pain and the scare we ought to forgive when we pray.

Today I say to you, Jesus Christ told us and is telling us; let go off the bitterness, let go off anger, let go off unforgiveness.

Your prayer life must be supported by the spirit of forgiveness and God will certainly answer our prayers as he promised in his word.
We are supposed to forgive one another and ensure that we strive for righteousness at all costs. Righteousness entails embracing the will and character of God. Righteousness is the right standing with God and you can’t stands right with God if you cannot forgive.
In Ephesians 4:32 the Apostle Paul exhorts us saying, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you”.

Brothers and Sisters forgiveness is not a choice, it’s a must and we ought to forgive as Christ forgave us.

Forgiveness is the true reflection of love. Jesus Christ is the best example of forgiveness when he came and laid down a perfect example for us when he was here on earth.

God will only begin answering us if we seek him diligently. God will hear your prayers when we pray and forgive. May God search our hearts such that when we pray we are able to forgive.
God bless you.

May the LORD grant all your requests. PSALM 20

1.May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
3 May he remember all your sacrifices
   and accept your burnt offerings.[b]
4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.

May the LORD grant all your requests.
 6 Now this I know:
The LORD gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
9 LORD, give victory to the king!
   Answer us when we call!

O God Do not be deaf!

By Br Edward Tomola

O God Do not be deaf!

It sounds not only ridiculous but rude to ask God not to be deaf.  It may sound blasphemous or heretic to tell the Almighty God, Jehovah, the God with no beginning or end not to be deaf.  It is not me who first joined this cry or statement.

Psalm 83, like all the Psalms is loaded with a plan by God to come to the aid of his people.  Psalm Chapter 83 vs 1-3 reads “O God, do not be silent! Do not be deaf. Do not be quiet O God.
Don’t you hear the uproar of your enemies?.  Don’t you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?.

IS ANYONE IN TROUBLE? LET HIM PRAY!

By Br David Msebele

The natural instinct when one is in trouble is  they may  contemplate committing suicide (which is a sin and cowardly).  Some may just ignore the situation and let the issue solve itself “naturally”, that is, let the situation go on auto pilot.

Others may approach friends, relatives, strangers or other human helpers for help.  Others may go spiritual, and visit diviners or spirits to divinate on the problem and make a way out of the problems.

Yet others may choose God to be the great physician, the great solver of all problems.
My plea today is that if anyone is in trouble, Let Him Pray to God.  The bible says that “ Is anyone in trouble? Let him pray”

I may as well add:
Is anyone in trouble? Let him pray or be prayed for.
